Agendas/Morning Meeting
Language: We continued
our novel study, “Heidi.” We read chapters 16 and 17 together. We made a lot of
inferences about what could happen next in the book or how the characters are
feeling. The students worked on their novel studies packages. If complete, they were allowed to start their homework which was to read chapter 18 and finish the rest of the package.
Recess/Lunch
Math: Today we learned about comparing and ordering fractions. We look at a powerpoint that explained the concept very easily to us. We worked together as a class to put the fractions in order from least to greatest and verse versa. The students also worked with a partner to put 2 separate sets in order. We practiced converting improper fractions to mixed fractions so we could accurately place the fractions in order. We worked on textbook questions independently and all gave the thumbs up to understanding this concept!

For homework they will be taking home their "Heidi" novel study book.
Please ensure this book comes back to school on Monday in the same
